Was Jesus a Theonomist?

As I was working today (11-23-2011) I realized that the concept of theonomy and its theology is flawed. SDA followers, reform sects have been misusing Jesus teachings.

Jesus never required we gentiles to keep the law of Moses. In face Jesus gave us 2 out of the 613 Commandments that were the most important.

References.

Matthew 22:36-40

Mark 12:29-31

Luke 10:25-28

IF true that Jesus required for Jew and Gentile to keep the Ten Commandments according to the philosophy of Richard rives, SDA followers and other Theonomists. Then the Scriptures should have spoken plainly but this doesn’t seem to be the case.

What did Jesus teach from the Law of Moses?

Jesus among his own Jewish nation taught the following from the Law of Moses.

Reference:

Matthew 5:17-48.

Mark 10:1-12

As Gods perfect sacrifice Jesus was required to keep the whole of the Law. And he did so. As hard as it is for Theonomist Christians to understand. Jesus did not require us to keep the Old Commandments. We have no Theocratic law that binds us. It is our Faith in Jesus that brings forth an adoption to the God of Israel.

Romans 3:1-31

Romans 4:13-16

Romans 5:1-11

Romans 6:1-23

We as Gentile Christians did not ‘replace’ the Jewish nation. Nor were we supposed to. We are adopted by God through Faith nor the Law of Moses. Galatians 3:26-29.
