Is richard rives Seventh Day Adventist?

A question that repeatedly is typed up in my blog search engine is whether or not rives is SDA?

As people read through my multiple posts dealing with rives philosophy that he considers / teaches “Biblical Christianity” is not part of the SDA ‘movement’ but something more drastic.

While rives may OR MAY NOT have been influenced by SDA philosophy his repeated use of the Ten Commandments and trying to go back into Judaizing makes him more of a wannabe Jew than a member of the SDA ‘church’.

At present it is not known if he is a member of the SDA church.

Richard rives claims to be Christian. Here is the evidence.

“As a result of my Just the Facts commentaries many times I am asked what I really believe. Because I do not espouse the teachings of any particular denomination, people just do not know how to categorize me. If I would only associate myself with some denomination then surely they could find something wrong. ”

“Because I believe that we should keep The Ten Commandments – all ten, there are those who would like say that I am legalistic, trusting in works of the law for salvation. But no, that is not what I believe at all. “

“I believe that we are saved, by grace, through faith in the redemption made possible only through the shed blood of Jesus Christ-  not by works of the law. There is no law that can be kept that will save us. We do not however make void the law that grace may abound. “

“I believe that Jesus laid down His life for the remission of “sins that are past” and not in order that we might break the commandments of our Creator. Not only did He lay down His life for us, but as believers, we have the promise of the Holy Spirit to empower us in order that we can keep those commandments. ”

“I believe that if we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. However, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Even so, I find no provision in the Old Testament or the New for the willful, on purpose, and presumptuous practice of sin. We cannot be the servants of sin. Sin is the transgression of the law; and the unrepentant willful disregard for our Creator’s commandments will not yield everlasting life. The Bible makes it plain: If we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation which shall devour the adversaries. As believers we must not practice sin. “

If they can just put words in my mouth, connect me with some denomination that they do not like, or categorize me in some negative way, then surely they could find something wrong – some way to discredit me for simply stating that we should keep all ten of our Creator’s commandments.”

However as I have pointed out on multiple blog posts his philosophy / doctrine is obviously un-Christian due to his insistence on keeping the Ten Commandments that neither Jesus nor the Disciples taught as a moral or salvation doctrine.

With whom does Richard rives associate with in religious circles?

Richard rives associates with Hebrew roots cultists from various ‘ministries’, websites etc.
