Are Seventh Day Adventists and other Theonomists the people spoken of in Revelation Chapter 14?

Seventh Day Adventists and their fellow Theonomists like Richard Rives like to quote the following.

“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” ……Revelation 14:12”

And yet their theory is mistaken.

Revelation 14:1-20

When we read from Chapter 14:1 we find the following.

“And I looked and lo a lamb stood on the Mount Sion and with him an hundred forty and four thousand having his Fathers name written in their foreheads. (KJV)”

Hmmm… SDA followers are not part of that group because they are not of the Tribes of Israel. See Revelation 7:1-8. This of course means that the SDA and Sunday Christians are all part of the Great Multitude mentioned in Rev 7:9.

Next do the Theonomist SDA match this Scripture?

Revelation 12:1-17

At the end of this Scripture we find the first mention of “And the dragon was wroth with the woman and went to make war with the remnant of her seed which Keep the Commandments of God and have the Testimony of Jesus Christ.” (KJV)

Who was this woman’? The early Christian church. The first Christians were Jewish and kept the Law of Moses because they lived under a Jewish Theocracy at the time until the Roman empire.

Theonomists who quote and lay claim to Revelation 14 are doing so through philosophy and not Biblical Christianity.

Lets keep our Faith in Christ and follow his Commands.
